For Raimondo, the lines at Isaac's act as a perfect venue to perform his skills, since he can do his effects up-close for those interested in being entertained.
"I'm more of a close up performer than a stage illusionist," he said. "Performing on stage is expensive because you have to design the illusions yourself and I just like being with people more one on one. They can't help but be interested in it when it's performed right in front of them."
However, performing magic in this forum is not something Raimondo would consider as a career aspiration, unless he is offered a rare opportunity.
"The only way I'd ever consider this as a career would be if someone from a huge television station saw me … and said that they wanted to put me on national TV. There is no way that I would ever perform restaurant magic or bar magic or corporate events for the rest of my life," he said.
Raimondo encourages both believers and skeptics to check him out at Isaac's on Thursday nights. Even Raimondo, who knows the secrets to his magic, believes:
"If I didn't believe in magic, I wouldn't be performing it, right?"
