High Fidelity: Top-10 Worst Movies of the Past Decade (or ... Bottom-10?)

So, you've just paid about $30 bucks for two tickets (I usually go with my mom to the movies), and snacks to go see this brand new flick. You're sitting there, thinking this should be good. I mean, a movie has to be developed from writers, then approved by a production company, have a vision with a director and ultimately, get funding. With so many channels to go through, how could there ever be such a thing as a "bad" movie. About halfway through the movie, you and your date (or in my case… mother), are livid. This movie is worse than that time you got busted wearing women's clothing in the changeroom at The Gap … regardless, those slimy Hollywood producers got your money and there's nothing you can do about it.
This top-10 list pays homage to those movies that were just plain awful. Recently, my friends and I started a "bad movie club", in which we get together to check out some of these movies that defy the laws of physics by both sucking and blowing at the same time. When you are aware that they are bad, they can end up being pretty funny. The criteria for these picks were based on the following factors: Lost revenue, critic's reception, Razzie Awards (acknowledges the worst films of the year), ranking on RottenTomatoes.com (a very reputable source for film ratings) and impact on society. I hope you enjoy.
10.) Zyzzyx Road - Starring: Katherine Heigl and Tom Sizemore - Released: 2006
This independent thriller has the title of the "lowest grossing film of all time". The film made $30 dollars (not million, or thousand), and $10 of that was refunded by the director to the make-up artist working on the film. The producer needed to fulfill the US release obligation required by the Screen Actors Guild for low-budget films, so he only showed it in one theatre, once-a-day, for six days.
9.) The Adventures of Pluto Nash - Starring: Eddie Murphy - Released: 2002
This box-office bomb had a budget of $100 million and had revenues of $4.41 million, gaining back just over four per cent of its expenses. Nominated for multiple Razzies, this film is the sixth largest loss of any film ever made. This Raw loss would make me Delirious … Get it?
