What do you feel is the strongest aspect of your platform for the 2010-11 year, that you feel will benefit students both now and in the future?

The strongest aspect of my platform is connecting students back to BUSU. I want to drive BUSU`s energy to mend the massive disconnect that exists between students and BUSU. We need to let students know that we are here to help with academic, housing, and financial problems. I also want to expand the student's union building to provide more open space, more club space, and an improved food service. www.votedaud.ca

What do you feel is the most important academic issue facing students, and how will you address it?

The most important academic issue facing students now and in the future will be trying to maintain the quality of education in the face of budget cuts and changes in university policies. To make sure that seminar hours, library hours, classroom sizes or anything that negatively effects the quality of education for students are not drastically changed solely due to budget cut requirements. How do you see Brock's relationship with OUSA and CASA in the upcoming year?

BUSU's relationship with OUSA and CASA needs to be as strong as possible. CASA is currently going through a restructuring process and it is very important that BUSU is heavily involved to assure the best outcome possible for BUSU. We are one of seven founding members of OUSA and ever since its conception in 1992 it has never had a BUSU VPUA serve as its President, I want to change that. Check out: www.votedaud.ca

What Brock related issues will you fight for at the governmental level?

At the Municipal level I will fight for a Regional Transit service, improved community relations program, and lobby for the maintenance of fire and safety codes for student housing in the Niagara region. It is particularly important to focus on student related municipal issues this year because it is an election year. For the Provincial and Federal level I will work closely with OUSA and CASA to determine our lobby priorities for the year. www.votedaud.ca
