What do you feel is the strongest aspect of your platform for the 2010-11 year, that you feel will benefit students both now and in the future?

Making BUSU the central communication hub in conjunction with the VP of University Affairs is the strongest aspect of my platform. As BUSU becomes more centralized, the voice of the students' becomes louder. I intend to expand the horizons of the existing portfolio by walking the extra mile to amplify the voice of the students', in regards to finance and administration. This is what BUSU is here for. You do the talking, I'm listening.

How will you address the issue of public transit, and ensure that students have the best possible U-Pass?

To the best of my ability, I will try to keep the U-Pass fees to a minimum and to schedule the buses needed as frequent as possible. To my knowledge, there are some buses that only come once every half hour. Therefore, I will negotiate for more frequent trips on behalf of the students regarding those bus routes.

How will you ensure that BUSU is financially accountable to its students?

BUSU is managed with strict By-Laws that ensure the students' fees are utilized accordingly and efficiently. Furthermore, through proper management of the BUSU funds and effective allocation of resources, BUSU will utilize the fees in accordance to what benefits the students' the most.

What is BUSU's current economic standing, and what will you do to improve it?

As of now, BUSU is at a healthy financial state since last year (a surplus of +$30,000). Improving BUSU requires a team effort, thus improvements will not be made by me alone. Improvements can be made through working closely with the General Manager of BUSU, by strategizing on potential expansions of the current businesses owned by BUSU, or put into play new profit generating ideas as an alternative solution.
